Originally a family pillow-case this fabric has been hand-stitched in the traditional Hungarian irásos method and upcycled to make a beautiful folk art cushion cover.

Hungarian irásos (written) embroidery is a folk style which originated in Transylvania in the late 18th century. It consists of a dense chain stitch in one colour, often red, and this method was passed down from generation to generation.

Material: Cotton/linen cover. Duck feather inner.Size: 63 x 44cm. Care: handwash in cold water. Take special care as this is a vintage and so very delicate product.
