Jane Foster is a children’s book illustrator, author, and textile designer based in Devon, UK. Her trademark designs are bold and cheerful designs appealing to both children and adults. All her work is created in her studio and this involves drawing, painting, screen printing, sewing, and designing. Her mission is to bring joy into people's lives through her illustrations.
In her free time, Jane loves to collect children’s books from the 60s and 70s specifically for their illustrations, as well as Dick Bruna books and vintage wooden children’s puzzles. She has herself had over 30 books publsihed, most of which are for pre-school children.
Some of the notable clients Jane has worked with include WWF, IKEA, Habitat, Aldi, Make International, The Art Group, Comic Relief, Roarsome, Waitrose, Mollie Makes, SHIPS (Japan), and M&S.
Jane is thrilled to have collaborated with the British company Archivist Gallery on a range of matchboxes. Ever since she was a teenager, she has loved collecting matchboxes and vintage matchbox labels for the illustrations. This is a dream come true collaboration!
