PRODUCT INFO
These gorgeous folk decorations are made using the technique for making the arms of pajaki (pronounced "pah-yonk-kee") which is the Polish word for spiders. The arms of these web-like chandeliers are traditionally made from rye straw, paper, wood, feathers, and dried peas with typical colours being magenta, lime and turquoise. Pajaki and garlands like these have been used to brighten up homes during the dark winter months throughout Poland since the 18th century and historically were also used as tokens of health and happiness, as well as gifts and decorations for weddings and Christenings
