One of Konrad's first memories is the sight of cows and horses grazing freely just beyond the fence and it is this, along with other childhood views, which became the foundation of his artistic sensitivity. The countryside, with it's daily rhythm, nature within arm’s reach, and life measured by the seasons, together with Polish folk art, remain his most important source of inspiration to this day.
Konrad's day job is the production of natural lemonades and beverages and he also runs a small farm specialising in goat breeding. He says animals are as stubborn as artists, so they understand each other perfectly! Outside working hours, he serves as the president of the Cichosz Association, which supports the local community in the Milanów Municipality, and he is also a volunteer firefighter with the Volunteer Fire Brigade.
Konrad's works are held in private collections in Poland and abroad, as well as in museum collections and from time to time, he receives awards for them. He says this surprises him — but then reminds himself to paint honestly, without calculation - art straight from his heart.
Folk art is a way of life for Konrad —deeply rooted in tradition, everyday experience, and spirituality. As well as to create, his goal is to pass this passion on to others, especially children and young people, so that folk culture continues to have a future and remain alive and contemporary
