PRODUCT INFO

These gorgeous folk decorations are called pajak or plural, pajaki (pronounced "pah-yonk-kee") which is the Polish word for spiders. These web-like chandeliers are traditionally made from rye straw, paper, wood, feathers, and dried peas with typical colours being magenta, lime and turquoise. Pajaki have been used to brighten up homes during the dark winter months throughout Poland since the 18th century and historically were also used as tokens of health and happiness, as well as gifts and decorations for weddings and Christenings.
