The Nolinsk matryoshka is crafted by traditional artists from the rural town of Nolinsk in the Kirov region of Russia. She is hand-painted and decorated with brightly colored red and blue flowers, as is traditional in this northern region. This is the baby of nesting dolls, only having 3 pieces and standing only 7 cm tall

Founded on the basis of an international friendship, they are a small company based jointly in Boone, North Carolina and St. Petersburg, Russia. their dolls are designed and manufactured in St. Petersburg by a production team of skilful artists, talented designers, carvers and engineers. In addition they distribute traditional Russian folk art toys and gifts that they buy directly from the craftspeople of Nolinsk, Polkhovski and Fedoskino.
