Vama Ceramica two-handled bottle

Ghezò and Emma have been making ceramics for 50 years. Ghezò is a 3rd generation potter and makes the objects and vessels from local clay and Emma hand-paints every beautiful piece. The clay is stored in a barrel until needed and once made each piece is fired three times in an electric kiln at 1000 degrees. First before the piece glazed, second after it is glazed and then finally after Emma has painted and glazed it a second time. The patterns and designs are painted on withl dyes derived from natural minerals and can can be created with slip also.

They hold many awards including the Guild of Living Human Treasure and a UNESCO Diploma.
